Apple speculations into LTE powered iPhone, does not mean 4G

The question is quite simply what could come after the iPhone 3GS, the answer again rather simply the iPhone 3GSS seriously though it seems that Apple has already let slip the 4G bomb.

The 4G bomb was dropped in a job posting last May where the post stated they were seeking a ‘Cellular Technology Software Manager’ with expert knowledge of WCDMA/UMTS, HSPA, HSPA+ and LTE.

Yes LTE now we are not for a minute suggesting that this means a 4G powered iPhone will be the next in line for the annual product cycle, neither does this confirm Apple’s favoured 4G radio but when you take into account AT&T’s interest in LTE plus the long drawn out affair with Cupertino it makes sense.

It would be hard to ignore that LTE is a realistic option for future Apple portables. It isn’t going to be a total disaster if a 4G iPhone doesn’t turn up this summer as most of us really would just prefer something with an improved battery life some real multitasking.
